Assignments: Recon

ASSIGNMENTS: SPECOPS

Objectives:

  • 20 Kills with Sniper Rifles
  • 5 Laser Designations

Rewards: QBU-88

20 Kills with a sniper rifle can be daunting for someone who doesn’t snipe.  If this isn’t you, then ignore the following. There is an easier method to get the 20 kills without sacrificing your game play.  Try choosing the SVD or MK11 MOD, and removing the scopes on them. An iron sight is much easier to use, and you have the bonus of using a semi automatic sniper rifle.  You will probably unlock a 4x scope that you can equip if you would like to try this.

5 laser designations are also very easy. You are not forced to be Recon and use the SOFLAM however.  If you have unlocked a 3rd seat in  your tank (The CITV Station)  you can lock on to vehicles. You are also not even required to get damage assists, you just need to lock on to vehicles. Either the SOFLAM or CITV Station will work.

ASSIGNMENTS: CREEPING DEATH

Objectives:

  • 50 Headshots
  • 50 Spot Assists
  • 5 Knife Take Downs

Rewards: L96

The best thing about this next assignment is, in any of these objectives is it necessary for you to play as Recon.

50 headshots can be obtained through any class.  These will come naturally in all classes. If you notice you don’t get many headshots perhaps a LMG could help. When you aim at the body with one the recoil alone will usually assist your next few shots to grant you a headshot.  You don’t even have to aim for them.

50 spots assists is easily done by spotting enemies in regular game play Select (on PS3) will usually highlight an enemy as red.  I’m unsure if motion sensors account for this but I would believe it does. You usually get a motion spot assist and sometimes a spot assist. But, in either case, these will come very easily.

5 knife take downs is not much to ask. These can gradually be obtained in any mode, but Team Deathmatch serves as an easy knifing ground. People will tend to camp to keep their k/d up and if you remember their location on the kill cam, you can sneak up behind them and Melee them.  When you Melee this doesn’t necessarily mean you will get their dog tags, and I’m uncertain if this assignment requires dog tags or not. But as long as you see an animation take place when knifing them, you will have gotten their tags.

Battlenoobs was created primarily for the beginners in the battlefield who may not have experience with the Battlefield franchises, or FPS in general. While most of the information is basic and targeted at console users, I hope to add some tips and strategies for advanced players as well. Any inaccuracies that you may come across in this blog are result of a game patch.
